New Owners Class #1 - all machines
Fee: $15.00 if you purchased your machine at Friends and Co. $35.00 if your purchases your machine somewhere else. A gift certificate for $15.00 will be given to you when you attend the class.
September 4. 12 pm to 4 pm
Instructor: Dianna Neeley
This class covers everything from threading to caring for your machine. Sewing basics on your machine such as how to work your buttonhole foot, overcast edges and mending. Bring supplies listed on this site under basic sewing supplies.A project specific supply list will be given to you when you sign up and pay for the class.

4 D Software
Fee: Free the 1st year and $10.00 after

Embroidery Placement
Fee: $20.00
September 11. 1 pm to 4 pm or 6 pm to 9 pm

Do you want to know how to print out your own vellum templates, mark fabric so your design is where you wish it to be when you stitch it out. This class will teach you from the design CD to the final stitch out. Class fee includes your vellum and cost of printing. You will print your design out. And make a pillow cover or small wall hanging. Bring supplies listed on this site under basic sewing supplies. A project specific supply list will be given to you when you sign up and pay for the class.

Heriloom Blouse by Serger
Fee: $30.00 + kit

Jeans to dinner suits; this is a top you can wear with anything. A center panel is composed of embroidered and eyelet insertions; decorative serger pintucks border the center panel. Wide embroidered edging finishes the sleeve edges below a band of the eyelet insertions. The neck edge is finished with a mock-piping technique using the serger rolled hem and a fabric binging. Kit included everything to make this beautiful blouse. Bring your serger in good working order and the machines manual, and white serger thread. Kaleidoscope Long Cabin

Class 1 September 24, Class 2 October 1. 5:30 pm to 8:30 pm

Learn to make this beautiful adaption of the old favorite log cabin quilt (pictured below). Bring supplies listed on this site under basic sewing supplies. This class requires you to cut your strips prior to class so please sign early so you can pick up your instruction sheet and get started.

Embroidered Cutwork Table / Pillow Cover
Fee: $20.00
September 25.12 pm to 4 pm

Come and make this adorable cutwork as a table cover or a pillow cover. Purchase of the Anita Goodesign CD is required for the project (this is the same CD used in the placement class). Finishing instructions will be provided in the free standing lace class if you wish to complete the table cover as shown. Please sign up early so Vicki can order in enough CDís for everyone. Last Saturday
Fee: $10.00 to sign up

Start this beautiful new quilt. You will be given a new block each last Saturday of the month if you bring in your completed block from the month before. This is the first Saturday in this new quilt.

Falling Leaves Table Runner

Just in time for Thanksgiving you can create this attractive table runner. You will make free standing leaves and embroider leaves directly on your table runner. Embroidery Free Standing Lace Ornaments

Join this class to learn how to make free standing lace. Cut decorations can be hung on your tree, used for gift tags, or just decorate your home. Thread to match you fabric of choice and appropriate for your project (bobbin thread if machine embroidery project)
Straight pins
Scissors
Rulers, 12 O x 12 O or 15 x 15 and 12 x 24 or 9 x 24
Seam ripper.
Small cutting mat (rotary, if you have it) for working at your station.
Rotary cutter with good blade.
Your own iron and ironing mat may be useful and necessary for some classes.
